    What a season for Scuderia Ferrari and its drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa. After all that venom and scandals, in the final race of the season Raikkonen took the title, his first. Congratulations Kimi, keep 'em coming!

Massa Stays with Ferrari

Once again, the rumors were false. Yesterday, Ferrari announced that it has extended Felipe Massa's contract through 2010. Here’s the original press release from Ferrari:

MARANELLO, 16th October 2007 – Ferrari announces that it has extended its agreement with the driver Felipe Massa through to the end of the 2010 racing season.

Felipe has been contracted to the Scuderia since 2001. To date, he has taken part in 34 Grands Prix for the team. He has won five times, had sixteen podium places and finished 25 times in the points. He has secured eight pole positions and the same number of race fastest laps, with a total of 166 points scored.

Ferrari won a Formula One Constructors’ Chamipionship

Ferrari is a Formula One constructors' champion after McLaren decided not to appeal against the FIA's verdict. Too bad, Ron Dennis proved me wrong :)

On the other hand rumor has it that Fernando Alonso, reigning world champion, will leave Vodafone McLaren Mercedes and join Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro for the next season.

Alonso is at two points from Hamilton, the championship lead. Hamilton has a fantastic season, he is a rookie and he leads Formula One championship.
